Justin Rabbach Named New Executive Director of the BWM

The Board of World Mission of the Moravian Church North America is pleased to announce that Justin Rabbach has been named the Board’s new Executive Director.

He will continue the work of the Rev. Judy Ganz, who is retiring at the end of 2017.

Justin currently serves as the director of Mission Engagement, a position he has held since it was created in 2014. In that role, he facilitated mission education and discernment within our congregations to promote engagement with BWM initiatives and programs. Justin has also been active in helping ministries within both the Northern and Southern Provinces.

A lifelong Moravian, Justin was born and raised in the Ebenezer Moravian congregation in Wisconsin. He holds Bachelors of Arts degrees in Economics and Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as a Masters degree in International Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He served as an intern with the U.S. State Department in Honduras and worked with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s World Hunger program prior to his service with the Board of World Mission.

His work with the Board of World Mission began as a volunteer leading service teams in relief of the damage caused by Hurricane Felix in Nicaragua. This was followed by numerous trips leading teams and as a longer term volunteer and then on staff in areas such as Alberta, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti and the Czech Republic.

Justin will assume his new role on November 11, 2017 and work directly with Judy Ganz to fully transition into the role by the end of this year.

  4. Dear Justin and Judy,

I received the two following two sites from a relative in Canada who is Moravian. She was distraught while reading and listening to the videos.
“Moravian” was printed twice but no elaboration as to our involvement in any of these horrific events.

Are you able to supply any facts, one way or another, to explain the use of the Moravians?

I/we would most assuredly appreciate any help, direction, references, etc.!

Thank you, Judy, for your past service as Executive Director of the Board of World Missions!

Justin, welcome aboard as the new Executive Director of the Board World Missions!
