Following Hurricane Katrina in 2005 the Moravian Church sent dozens and dozens of teams to help rebuild the Gulf Coast. The work continues today!
Chris Beninati, a partner of the Moravian Church living in Mississippi who has helped many teams set up rebuilding projects, is seeking help as he works to rebuild houses affected by Katrina. He has a house in Pascagoula, MS for up to 40 volunteers to stay at one time. Housing only costs $5 per person a day.
He is in need of skilled and un-skilled volunteers for carpentry projects, hanging drywall and other tasks. He can accommodate anyone who is willing to help!
Recently, Chris has been working on a house for a family in need of a safe and sanitary home. He has successfully put running water and air conditioning and upgraded the electrical infrastructure. He plans to replace the septic tank in the near future.
Along with volunteers, Chris is in desperate need of donations.
