July 4 Update from Sikonge

Bill starts where he left off, explaining that Steen was retiring and Sunday would be his last evening in Tanzania. His last night was somewhat spoiled as a young man in the community kept him up all night asking for money. It all worked out alright and Steen made it safely to the airport the next day. Bill and Peg continued to do rounds by distributing resources and talking to locals about funding projects. The projects mentioned are a well and educational programs.

The Hoffmans ran into a few old friends, Alfred, a translator, and Julie Tomberlin from the states. In addition to traveling through the area, Bill and Peg spent many hours organizing the financial records of Mama Kimwaga and Dr. Ruhamya. The ledgers they kept have many mathematical errors and missing entries which makes balancing the books quite a challenge. In the later part of the week, the couple traveled to another village, Tabora, to visit orphans there.
