Our next Share Our Stories post features Jessie Burcaw, Jessie Stangret and Jaime Dease and a little on their experience serving with the Moravian Church in Nepal.
In June 2017, three Antioch servants traveled about 8,000 miles to help at the Moravian School in Kathmandu, Nepal for one month. Jessy Burcaw, a first grade teacher from Unity Moravian Church, worked with the second grade students. Jessie Stangret, a sophomore at the University of Illinois-Chicago from Waconia Moravian Church, taught swim lessons and worked with the kindergarten students. Jamie Dease, a fourth grade teacher from Macedonia Moravian Church, worked with the first grade students. Jessy and Jamie also worked on building the school’s curriculum by creating a Google Drive folder with resources for the teachers.
